ABOUT US
Material Witness is an independent clothing label operated from London, United Kingdom. Questions about these terms can be sent to materialwitness.shop@outlook.com.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
We take reasonable care to describe and photograph every product accurately. Colours may appear differently between screens. Measurements are approximate and handmade garments may show small variations.
ORDERS
An order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order. A contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised or an obvious pricing error has occurred.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any applicable taxes, delivery charges and the final total will be shown before payment. Payment must be authorised before an order is accepted.
PREORDERS
A preorder reserves a product that is not ready for immediate dispatch. The expected timing is an estimate and may change. We will send material updates by email and you may retain any cancellation rights available under applicable law.
DELIVERY
In stock products are normally dispatched from London within 48 hours. Unless a different date is agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days. Risk passes to you when the order is delivered.
CANCELLATION AND RETURNS
For most online purchases, United Kingdom customers may cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods and then have a further 14 days to return them. Change of mind returns must be unworn and in original saleable condition with every hangtag attached. You are responsible for return postage unless the goods are faulty or we agree otherwise.
FAULTY GOODS
Products must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights. Contact us promptly if an item arrives damaged, faulty or materially different from its description.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Customers outside the United Kingdom are responsible for any import duties, taxes and local charges unless checkout states otherwise. Delivery times may be affected by customs processing.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Material Witness name, artwork, photography, product designs and website content are protected by intellectual property law. They may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without written permission.
LIABILITY
We do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses arising from business use of products purchased as a consumer.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment information is processed by the payment provider and is not stored directly by Material Witness.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
